Hours: 20-25 hrs/week. Occasional evening and weekend hours required for events.

Salary: $20-$24 per hour DOE

The Bountiful Davis Art Center (BDAC) is a nonprofit arts organization located at 90 North Main Street in Bountiful, Utah. As a cultural hub for Northern Utah, BDAC inspires creativity and community connection through exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural events. BDAC supports artists, fosters engagement with the arts, and provides a unique venue for community events.


Job Summary

BDAC is seeking an energetic and goal-driven Events & Venue Manager to oversee event coordination, space rentals, and program development. This part-time role combines event management and vision with sales responsibilities to help BDAC expand its rental program and community offerings. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and passionate about creating exceptional experiences for BDAC’s clients and visitors.


The role includes managing annual events like Summerfest and the Gingerbread Festival, coordinating recitals as needed, securing and coordinating at least 52 private event rentals per year, and working with staff to envision new programs to engage the community.


Key Responsibilities

Event Management:

  • Plan and coordinate BDAC’s annual events, including opening receptions, Summerfest and Gingerbread Festival.

  • Oversee event logistics, including timelines, budgets, vendor coordination, and on-site management.

  • Work with staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure successful execution of events.

Space Rentals and Sales:

  • Promote BDAC as a premier venue for private events, including recitals, corporate meetings, and celebrations.

  • Respond to rental inquiries, conduct site tours, and finalize rental agreements with assistance from the operations manager.

  • Manage all aspects of space rentals, including scheduling, client communication, and event setup/teardown with the assistance of the visitor services manager.

  • Secure and coordinate a minimum of 52 private event rentals per year and coordinate recitals as needed.

  • Actively pursue new rental opportunities through outreach to businesses, and community groups.

Programming Development:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote programming and rentals.

  • Engage with community members to identify interests and opportunities for new activities.

  • Work with the development manager to develop membership programs.

  • Generate additional revenue through innovative programs and events.

Administrative and Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and community partners.

  • Track revenue goals, expenses, and client feedback to refine and improve programs.

  • Ensure high-quality customer service and client satisfaction.

  • Coordinate volunteer support for events and programs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, Arts Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event coordination, sales, or program management.

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Sales experience or demonstrated ability to meet scheduling and outreach goals preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with event management software.

  • Passion for the arts and community engagement.
