GINGERBREAD HOUSE COMPETITION

 

Our annual Gingerbread House Competition is open to all ages and abilities! Individuals, groups, and families are encouraged to enter and compete for prizes. Houses will be on display and winners will be announced the day of the festival, Saturday, Dec. 7th.

COMPETITION RULES AND INFORMATION:

DROP-OFF: Saturday,Nov 30th (noon-5pm) and Monday, Dec 2nd (10am-2pm): Please deliver completed gingerbread houses to the BDAC at 90 N Main Street, Bountiful.

A $5 registration fee, per house, is due upon delivery​ and can be paid at the front desk. Upon delivery, you will be asked to fill-out a small information card and indicate if you’d like to donate the gingerbread house for the silent auction.

We encourage all individuals, groups, and families to enter. Gingerbread houses will be divided into and judged by the following categories:​​

• Best in Show

• Family 

• Group/Business

• Adult (16+)

• Youth (11-15)

• Child (up to age 10)

​

Houses must be made at least partially of edible materials (gingerbread, candy, etc.) but be constructed soundly enough to remain intact until pickup on December 7th.

​

You can donate your gingerbread house to be part of our silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to Bountiful Davis Art Center.​ 

​

If you wish to keep your house and not put it in the silent action, please indicate so on your information label. 

​

You may enter as many times as you’d like!

​

Pick-up for all sold and unsold gingerbread houses between 2-5 pm on Saturday, Dec. 7th and Tuesday, 10am-6pm on Dec. 10th. If you are unable to pick up your house on these dates, please contact Bren Larsen at bren@bdac.org​.​
