Don’t miss these upcoming courses!
The BDAC provides educational experiences and services to school groups. The Davis County Traveling Exhibition, BDAC Field Trip programs, and the Jean Madsen Children’s Center are designed to facilitate art education in this area.
The Jean Madsen Children’s Center
The Jean Madsen Children’s Center is a place where children and adults can learn about the elements of art, which are the building blocks that artists use to create artwork, by doing simple hands on activities.
Davis County Traveling Exhibition to the Schools
In cooperation with the Davis School District, BDAC has made available a series of mini-exhibits for loan to teachers in Davis School District. Each exhibit includes original artwork, information on the artist(s), a CD with printable art lessons that go along with that particular exhibit. General art information is also included.
Exhibits include: Oil Painting, Watercolor Landscapes, Photography, Portraits, Everett Ruess (lino block prints), LeConte Stewart (charcoal sketches).
BDAC Field Trips
BDAC offers a variety of field trip experiences. School classes can learn how artists think and develop artwork with the “elements of art.” Scout groups are welcome to pass off requirements of color and art careers. Pre-schools can do an activity and view our current exhibit while doing an eye-spy. BDAC welcomes any group or individual looking to learn and have a good experience. If you prefer, you may design and implement your own gallery experience for your students with support from BDAC staff.
